Certified to ISO 9001:2000 & AS9100B:2004
Circle Seal Controls' Quality Management System is certified to the International Organization of Standardization (ISO) standard 9001:2000 (2001) and International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) standard AS9100:2004. The ISO 9001:2000 and AS9100 standards are the model for Quality Assurance in Design, Development, Production, Installation and Servicing for products manufactured at Circle Seal Controls, Inc. This is the most demanding model of the ISO series standards.
Circle Seal Controls is an approved FAA production approval holder in accordance with FAR 21.303 (h). We currently hold Parts Manufacturing Approval (PMA) for two hundred (200) products sold for usage on the Boeing, Douglas, Airbus, IAI and Lockheed Airplanes. In addition, we are a licensed FAA Repair Station QWCR710X and an European Aviation Safety Agency Repair Station EASA.145.5907.
Our quality system is also approved by the American Society Mechanical Engineers (ASME) section VIII to produce safety relief valves.
We are also certified with American Bureau of Shipbuilding (ABS) Quality Evaluations, Inc. based in Houston, Texas. Our certification number is 30175 and expires in 2008. ABS is accredited by the ANSI Registered Accreditation Board. Our system undergoes evaluation by ABS every six months.
Our system continues to improve from a "inspection detection" based process to one of continuous improvement and the prevention of “Quality Incidents” by adopting new practices such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control, Design of Experiments, Strategic Process Checks, Delegated Inspection Representatives and Supplier Certification.
We have a Continuous Improvement management team made up of cross-functional departmental personnel that meets regularly to discuss needed improvements and reports them to upper management. Our current SPC program is approved to the Boeing D1-9000A and Lockheed-Martin's Appendix Y document.
Circle Seal Controls has a comprehensive Quality Assurance department that is fully integrated into the organization. We have situated key personnel in strategic areas of the organization to provide assistance towards preventing problems and eventual costs.
